Cylindrical Roller Thrust Bearings 

Timken's cylindrical roller thrust bearings are designed to operate under heavy loads at moderate speeds. Timken offers a standard (type TP) cylindrical thrust bearing and a design that features one spherically-ground washer seated against an aligning washer (type TPS).
TP (standard) >

Type TP bearings are the most economical thrust bearings to buy and install due to their design simplicity. Minor radial displacement of this bearing’s races does not affect its operation, resulting in manufacturing economies and easy installation.

TPS (aligning washer) >

Type TPS bearings are similar to type TP, but feature a bottom washer assembly made up of two races with the contacting faces spherically ground. This makes it adaptable to initial misalignment.
